About the team:
beMaps powers the core services of Be Group, including Transportation, Delivery, Food and Clean. Within beMaps, the MapOps team owns local map data: we collect, validate, and improve location data across Vietnam, turning map insights into a smooth and convenient experience for millions of Vietnamese users.
Responsibilities
- Collect location and geospatial data using proprietary software and internal tools.
- Monitor, analyze, and grade large geospatial datasets through regular validation cycles to ensure map data quality.
- Coordinate with cross-functional & local transport teams to drive projects
- Deliver map knowledge training sessions to different stakeholders.
- Support the Team Leader / Manager with data analysis and reporting.
Skills & experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Cartography, GIS, Geospatial, IT, Data, or related fields.
- 2-3+ years of experience in geospatial data processing or map operations at a ride-hailing or mapping company.
- Ability to match images to the correct place or address (POI verification).
- Proficiency in Google Sheets functions for data management and reporting.
- Detail-oriented and metric-driven, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Project management, cross-department communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on skills with QGIS, PostGIS, Python, SQL for data processing and automation
- Familiarity with maps domain concepts such as geocoding, routing, POI, ...
- OpenStreetMap contributor experience.
