About the Role
We're seeking a Manual Tester to ensure the quality of a next-generation AI-powered OCR platform. The platform processes large volumes of financial documents using advanced AI and computer vision technologies.
The product is part of Akkuro, one of the leading composable banking platforms. You will verify the accuracy of document recognition, data extraction, and validation workflows with attention to detail will help maintain high standards of performance and reliability, giving you significant technical ownership and the opportunity to influence its future direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements and define test scenarios for OCR and AI features.
- Design and execute test cases for document processing workflows and visual edge cases (e.g., degraded image quality, varied layouts, skewed or handwritten documents).
- Verify OCR-extracted data against source documents (Ground Truth) and evaluate AI confidence scores/accuracy thresholds.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing across releases.
- Test APIs and databases to validate end-to-end system integrations.
- Identify, reproduce, and track software defects and AI output anomalies.
- Collaborate with global development and AI teams to continuously improve product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance / testing.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar).
- Experience validating data accuracy through database testing and writing SQL queries.
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), STLC, and QA methodologies.
- Proactive self-learner with strong ownership and passion for evolving AI/OCR technologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect investigation skills (especially dealing with data anomalies).
- Ability to work independently and manage testing activities effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality software.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience testing OCR, NLP, Computer Vision, or AI-driven products.
- Prior exposure to Fintech, Banking, or automated document processing platforms.
- Experience working with cross-functional and international development teams.
