Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for backend applications and databases.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across multiple data sources.
  • Perform database testing using SQL to verify business logic, data transformations, and stored procedures.
  • Test ETL/data migration processes and ensure data integrity before and after deployment.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Work closely with developers and business stakeholders to analyze requirements and resolve issues.
  • Prepare test reports and provide clear documentation of testing results.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback to improve testability and product quality.

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in Manual QA or Software Testing.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SQL for database validation and data verification.
  • Experience testing relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Familiarity with API testing using tools such as Postman is a plus.
  • Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
