KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide comprehensive legal support and legal advice to all functions, including but not limited to corporate matters, AML, data privacy and protection, and fund management activities.
- Review, vet, and advise on all legal documents, contracts, agreements, and materials, including but not limited to forms, corporate charter, fund charters, prospectuses, and offering documents.
- Coordinate and ensure the Company maintains valid, up-to-date licenses, approvals, and permits in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and update changes in laws and regulations; conduct legal impact analysis and provide timely guidance to relevant departments on implications to business operations.
- Develop, update, and maintain legal SOPs, internal guidance, and policies; conduct legal training and awareness sessions for employees as required.
- Act as Legal Secretary for the RCL Department, including preparation of meeting materials, minutes, resolutions, and legal documentation.
- Provide legal support to internal committees such as the Product Committee and Investment Committee, particularly for private placement and negotiated investment transactions.
- Support the Head of RCL in reporting to clients, local regulators, and Eastspring Group Head Office.
- Coordinate and support legal and regulatory matters during audits, inspections, regulatory reviews, and quality assurance exercises.
- Assist in planning and delivering compliance and legal training to staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of RCL or senior management.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Law with 7–10 years of professional legal advisory experience.
- Minimum 02 years of hands-on experience in Legal and/or Compliance functions within the financial services industry, such as insurance, securities, fund management, or banking.
- Holder of the following mandatory securities certifications: Fundamental Issues of Securities and the Securities Market Certificate/ Securities Law and the Securities Market Certificate
- Strong business-oriented mindset with the ability to provide pragmatic and solution-driven legal advice that supports business objectives.
- Proven influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively and earn trust and respect across functions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with strong capability in legal interpretation and practical implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities in a regulated environment.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Vietnamese (written and verbal).
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and professional attitude with a high level of integrity and accountability.
