Overview:
The Jobholder acts as a strategic business partner and catalyst in driving the organization's Vision and Mission by championing all Learning and Development (L&D) and Employee Engagement (EE) initiatives. Operating with minimal supervision, this role requires analyzing L&D needs, developing targeted learning frameworks, and facilitating high-quality training sessions (both soft and technical skills) across all levels of the bank. Additionally, the jobholder plays a pivotal role in driving a positive workplace culture by conducting the annual Employee Engagement survey, executing the Employee Engagement calendar, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing environment in alignment with the Group's framework.
Responsibilities
Learning & Development (L&D)
- Solutions Development: Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify, develop, and implement appropriate L&D frameworks and interventions that address organizational strategies and improve employee competencies.
- Training Delivery & Facilitation: Conduct internal professional, managerial, and technical skills programs. Coach and upskill internal line/business trainers to maximize training effectiveness.
- Evaluation & Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D initiatives, ensuring alignment with business outcomes, and execute process improvements for the L&D function.
- Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Provide expert L&D consultancy to internal business partners and liaise with external training providers and regulators to support development goals.
- Financial Management: Manage L&D budgets effectively, controlling training costs, and ensuring the appropriate utilization of the Staff Training Fund (STF).
- Talent Management: Support the bank's broader talent management and development strategies.
Employee Engagement
- Employee Experience: Craft, launch, and drive participation for the annual Employee Engagement Survey (MTOF) and HLBVN's Engagement Agenda. Collate results and present actionable insights to senior management and divisions.
- Event Execution: Collaborate with the Staff Committee to design and execute the annual Employee Engagement Calendar with a high level of finesse and consistency.
- Internal Branding & Communication: Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of all EE-related communications. Foster a sense of belonging by driving diversity, inclusion, and sustainability stories.
- Vendor & Budget Management: Source and manage EE vendors to ensure cost efficiency, reliability, and value. Maximize the EE budget in the best interest of the organization.
- Market Research & Reporting: Research EE best practices and industry trends. Track attendance, compile feedback, and generate reports on EE activities for internal and Group requirements.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For
- Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Business or Humanities (Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Psychology is highly preferred).
- Language: Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
- Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and basic design tools.
- Professional Experience
- L&D Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in L&D roles within any industry.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing internal and external stakeholders, ranging from middle to senior management.
- Event & Project Management: Strong capability to consistently execute activities/events with finesse and handle ad-hoc projects outside standard responsibilities.
