Overview:
The Manager, International Banking & FX is responsible for driving the Bank's non-interest income growth by acting as a trusted financial advisor to Individual Clients, specifically High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). You will provide superior foreign exchange solutions for needs such as overseas education, immigration, and investment, ensuring optimal pricing strategies and seamless cross-border service delivery.
Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Generation:
- Identify and acquire new individual clients with high demand for foreign currency (Study abroad, Immigration, Medical tourism, Expatriates).
- Build strong networks with study abroad agencies, immigration consultancies, and luxury travel agencies to generate high-quality leads.
- Manage and close Spot FX deals with optimal pricing strategies to maximize the spread (profit margin) while ensuring competitiveness.
- Leverage FX interactions to cross-sell related banking products (Multi-currency Accounts, International Credit Cards, Cross-border Remittance services).
Advisory & Market Expertise:
- Monitor global financial markets, exchange rate fluctuations, and macroeconomic news (Fed, ECB, local policies) to provide timely Daily/Weekly Market Updates to clients.
- Advise clients on the optimal timing for buying/selling currencies to optimize their costs, establishing yourself as an International Banking Expert rather than just a transaction processor.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Banking, International Business, or Economics.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Banking, Priority Banking (RM), or Retail Treasury Sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Effective written and alternative communication skills, with the ability to build trust and negotiate with high-net-worth clients.
