Are you passionate about driving change, optimizing processes, and building something impactful from the ground up The Finance Operations Excellence Team is a new team in Agoda Finance that plays a pivotal role in transforming our finance operations by:
- Partnering with finance and accounting teams to identify and unlock process improvement opportunities
- Leading and executing process improvement initiatives across the organization
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Championing Lean Six Sigma and other best-in-class methodologies to solve problems and streamline workflows
- Establishing robust business process management frameworks to ensure sustainable, high-quality outcomes
The Opportunity
The Finance Operations Excellence Manager is ahands-on Finance Operations expertwho leadsspecial strategic initiatives and cross functional projectsto implement new Finance processes and improve existing ones. This role requires strongpractical knowledge of Finance Operations and accounting fundamentals, enabling the individual to understand the downstream impact of operational issues and process changes on financial reporting and business outcomes on Finance Operations expert functional projects
Rather than focusing purely on efficiency, this role ensures that new and improved processes arepractical, scalable, and fit for purpose, supporting both operational effectiveness and reliable financial outcomes for purpose
In This Role, You Will:
- Act as asubject matter expert (SME)across Finance Operations processes (R2R, O2C, P2P).
- Identify and solvecomplex Finance Operations issues, including:
- Reporting inaccuracies
- Process breakdowns impacting financial statements
- Analyze theroot cause and financial statement impactof operational issues and inefficiencies.
- Lead initiatives toimprove or redesign Finance processeswith a strong focus on:
- Accuracy and data integrity
- Controls and risk mitigation
- Audit and compliance readiness
- Leadnew process implementationsfor Strategic Business projects from a Finance Operations and Accounting perspective. Familiar with other Finance functions such as tax and treasury to be able to connect the dots and understand the impact to Financial Statement reporting.
- Review and strengthenend to end controls, ensuring issues are addressed structurally and sustainably to end controls
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applyingbasic Lean or problem solving toolswhere applicable solving tools
- Contribute to Finance transformation projects by bringingpractical operational and accounting insight, ensuring solutions are realistic and controllable.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree inAccounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 710+ years of hands on experiencein Finance Operations, Accounting, or related roles on experience
- Strong practical knowledge ofR2R, O2C, and/or P2P, with clear understanding of upstream and downstream impacts.
- Solid understanding ofaccounting principles and financial statements.
- Demonstrated experience addressingFinance Operations issues affecting reporting accuracy and controls.
- Ability to translate operational issues intofinancial, risk, and reporting implications.
- Experience working with SOX related processes is a strong advantage related processes is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with basic Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologyis preferred.
- Strong problem solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience inecommerce, fintech, or similar fast paced operational environments is highly preferred commerce, paced operational environments
