We are currently seeking an Information Systems Specialist with the following responsibilities and requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Manage business policies and procedures relating to system development and operations
- Participate in or directly draft parts of guidance documents for the implementation of system policies and operating procedures.
- Participate in implementing statistical reporting requirements of the State Bank of Vietnam and other government regulatory authorities.
2. Coordinate with relevant units on system enhancement, modification, and maintenance
Coordinate system upgrades, modifications, and maintenance to ensure accuracy and alignment with management requirements at different stages, while maintaining compatibility and connectivity with the Bank's updated technology systems.
3. Perform business-side system operation and governance controls
- Monitor the daily operations of MIS, MPA, and statistical reporting systems.
- Monitor and verify operational data.
- Coordinate with the Technology Center, indicator owners, and relevant units to resolve operational data incidents.
- Maintain operational logs.
- Maintain operational control indicators.
4. Manage system input data and data quality
- Define basic requirements for system input data.
- Coordinate with responsible units to research solutions for extracting, adjusting, and supplementing data at the tool level.
5. Support training and research activities
- Participate in supporting teaching and basic professional training activities for employees across the BIDV system.
- Participate in research projects, IT application proposals, and BIDV innovation and improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTSAge Requirement
Candidates must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application.
ExperienceExternal Candidates
- At least 1 year of experience in banking and finance, insurance, securities, or related sectors involving data and reporting.
- Preferred qualifications:Knowledge and/or experience with banking IT systems and Big Data.
- Ability to use at least one data querying tool such as SQL, or programming languages such as Python, R, or Visual Basic.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI.
- Good understanding of banking products and services.
- Knowledge of banking data systems.
Internal Candidates
- At least 3 years of experience in banking and finance, insurance, or securities, including at least 2 years as a specialist at BIDV, either at a branch or Head Office.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in technology functions at branches, the IT Center, TTPTNHS, general planning, credit management, or customer transactions.
- Preferred qualifications:Knowledge and/or experience with banking IT systems and Big Data, particularly in data and reporting.
- Basic certification or completion of training courses in Business Analysis (BA).
- Knowledge of BIDV data systems such as ERP, CROMS, and internal credit rating systems.

EDUCATIONProfessional Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a full-time public university in Vietnam or an overseas university, majoring in:
- Information Technology
- Mathematics and Computer Science
- Data Science
- Or another relevant discipline
- A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
English Proficiency
Candidates must meet at least one of the following English proficiency requirements:
- TOEIC: 600/990 or above
- TOEFL PBT/IPT: 500/677 or above
- TOEFL CBT: 173/300 or above
- TOEFL iBT: 61/120 or above
- IELTS: 5.5/9.0 or above
- Cambridge English: First Certificate in English (FCE)
- CEFR: B2
- Vietnamese 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework: Level 4/6
Alternatively:
- Hold a full-time university degree in English Language Studies; or
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an overseas institution where the entire program was taught in English.
Candidates should also:
- Have good English communication and working proficiency.
- Candidates may submit the required English certificate within 24 months from the date of employment.
