The Maintenance Manager role plays a key part in overseeing equipment maintenance, production line setup, automation projects, and productivity improvements within an automotive components manufacturing environment. This onsite position offers an opportunity to lead maintenance activities and support the reliable operation and continued development of factory equipment and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve equipment configurations and engineering design processes
- Review and approve equipment plans, including disposal, fabrication, and arrangement
- Develop and implement equipment maintenance plans
- Propose and execute corrective and preventive actions addressing equipment failures
- Manage the procurement of measuring instruments, tools, equipment, factory consumables, and materials
- Oversee the maintenance of spare parts, equipment, infrastructure, machinery, and tools
- Drive productivity improvement initiatives
- Promote and implement automation projects
- Support the review and optimisation of material consumption
- Monitor and supervise maintenance activities
- Plan and set up new production lines
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve operational issues
- Perform other tasks assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- At least 3 years of management experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Good Japanese-language proficiency, equivalent to JLPT N3 or above
