Job Purpose
The Maintenance Excellence Senior Manager is a strategic leadership role at AIG, responsible for driving standardizing maintenance engineering and activity, automation advancements, and world-class asset reliability across all group manufacturing facilities. This role bridges the gap between traditional engineering and modern industrial digitalization.
The successful candidate will lead the deployment of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, while strong programming capabilities to implement Coding applications that optimize plant performance, eliminate downtime, and elevate engineering capabilities group wide.
Key Responsibilities
1. Standardization of Maintenance Engineering & Activities
- Establish, standardize, and govern unified engineering policies, maintenance workflows across all AIG group factories.
- Lead the comprehensive implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), seamlessly embedding Autonomous Maintenance practices among floor operators to enable early defect detection.
- Define and track group-wide maintenance metrics (MTBF, MTTR) to maximize margin performance across manufacturing sites.
2. Industrial Coding Applications & Digitalization
- Utilize strong programming skills (e.g., Python, SQL, PLC/SCADA scripting) to develop custom Coding applications that extract and analyze real-time shop-floor data.
- Integrate data-driven solutions into centralized maintenance management platforms to predict machine failures before they occur, effectively driving down time toward zero.
- Lead the technical migration from reactive engineering models to modern, highly digitalized predictive maintenance frameworks.
3. Automation Advancements & Asset Reliability
- Involve advanced factory automation projects, machine upgrades, and robotic integration to maximize overall equipment effectiveness.
- Conduct robust Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for critical technical bottlenecks and deploy scalable automation adjustments.
- Formulate the long-term technical blueprint for AIG's smart-factory initiatives.
4. Regional Leadership & Capability Building
- Travel extensively across regional manufacturing hubs to audit engineering practices, lead commissioning phases, and ensure full compliance.
- Transform complex technical data into executive briefs using MS PowerPoint and MS Excel for the Board of Directors.
- Upskill and mentor local plant engineering teams to build a tech-savvy workforce capable of managing next-generation automation lines.
Others: Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the AIG CEO or BODs.
Requirements
- Automation engineering – polytechnic/technical university
- 7 – 10 years experience working in Food & Beverage manufacturing
- Proven track records of coding applications
- Proven track records of working with preventive maintenance practices in manufacturing
- Experience in working with TPM practices is a PLUS
- Positive mindset and eagerness to learn is a MUST
- Fluent working with PPT, Excel
- Ready to extensive travelling & must be able to read technical English
