Job Description

Job title: Machining Quality Control Engineer

Reporting line: - Machining Quality Control Manager

Working schedule:

  • 44 hours/week

Job purpose:

  • Ensuring compliance with the provisions of the Quality Management system documentation, monitoring
  • Improving the effectiveness of the Quality Control system, and participating in various quality-related activities to enhance overall product quality.

Job description:

  • Comply with and apply the provisions of the Quality Management system documentation, including the Organization's Submission Manual, Internal procedures, and working instructions.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the effectiveness of the Quality Control system.
  • Elaborate and update internal procedures, work instructions, control plans, and inspection plans as needed.
  • Lead training sessions for new employees on quality control system requirements.
  • Manage and respond to corrective and preventive actions from internal and external audits, customer complaints, etc. Ensure the implementation and effectiveness of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Prepare and explain statistical data, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Prepare 8D reports, Ishikawa diagrams, and utilize problem-solving methods such as 5 Whys, Brainstorming, and Brain Writing.
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy, and authenticity of data and produced documents.
  • Participate in certification/re-certification, authorization/re-authorization audits.
  • Release reports on activities as scheduled or requested by management, and propose efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with all UACV departments to improve quality, proposing measures to overcome shortcomings, identifying root causes, and considering solutions.
  • Attend meetings on various topics to provide support for the quality management system as requested.
  • Continuously update knowledge of UACV processes and changes affecting the quality management system.

Requirement:

  • Technical/Mechanical Engineering Background
  • Experienced in Mechanical/Assembly Quality Control or an equivalent position
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (7 QC tools, 5 Core tool, 5-Why, 8D, FMEA,...)
  • Strong knowledge of product development, manufacturing processes, GD&T, technical engineering interpretation, and measurement tools.
  • Fluent in English across all competencies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Teamwork, organization, and time management.
