Lead Deals at One of the World's Most Active Software Acquirers
With 100+ acquisitions completed in 2025, we're expanding our high-performing M&A team. We're seeking an experienced M&A Sr. Associate / Manager to lead transactions end-to-end and help build the next generation of our team.
This is a deal leadership role. Working from sourced opportunities, you will run transactions from first founder conversation through close—valuation, diligence, LOI/SPA negotiation, and signing—as the primary point of contact for owners and management. You will also help mentor analysts and associates to raise the bar on how the team works.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead live deals end-to-end; serve as the primary relationship owner for founders, executives, and shareholders through the transaction.
- Assess strategic fit and deal viability early, and make the recommendation to advance or pass.
- Drive valuation and deal structuring—own the model, the return analysis, and the recommended terms.
- Author and defend investment memos and present to the investment committee.
- Lead due diligence: scope it, manage advisors and internal workstreams, and own the risk assessment.
- Negotiate indicative offers, LOIs, and SPAs alongside senior leadership, increasingly as lead.
- Mentor and review the work of analysts; set and enforce quality standards.
- Shape post-close integration and value-creation plans with the acquired team.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years in M&A (investment banking, PE, transaction services, or corporate development), with a track record of deals you personally led to close.
- Expert financial modeling (three-statement, returns, scenario) and the judgment to know when the model is wrong.
- Experience building teams, mentoring or managing junior team members.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication; fluency in English, a regional SEA language a strong asset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable operating independently across SEA time zones, with willingness to travel.
