• Monitors daily import/export shipments and ensures smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers.

• Acts as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation orclassification of products).

• Understands and applies relevant customs procedures and ensures the relevant declarations are correctly made.

• Audits customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.

• Ensures all customs-related records are maintained and archived correctly.

• Provides reporting as required on day-to-day activities.

• Manages the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.

• Maintains and shares with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions in close cooperation with local and country Trade Compliance Officers.

• Communicates with export- and import-related authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution.

• Maintains relevant data in the local trade and customs applications (e.g., SAP Global Trade Services).

• Facilitates continuous review and improvement in the operational transport and trade/customs activities.

• Supervises customs broker's daily performance and cost, taking action to ensure compliance with associated

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

• Supports the development and implementation of improved processes and systems and maintains master data.

Required skills

Experience

– 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or logistics

– Preferably with experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g., production, supply chain, or factory operations)

Education

– Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields

Key Skills & Competencies

– Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and logistics coordination

– Hands-on experience using SAP (MM module or related procurement/logistics functions)

– Good understanding of import/export procedures, INCOTERMS, and inventory management

– Ability to analyze data, pricing, and supplier performance

– Strong negotiation and communication skills
