The team you will be part of
The Social Commerce Team is a fast-growing team leading the way in livestream selling, short video content, and affiliate marketing across Southeast Asia. We work with top brands, combining creativity, data, and platform expertise to drive real commercial results. As part of Intrepid's end-to-end eCommerce ecosystem, we gain broad exposure across operations, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and play a key role in shaping how brands connect with digital shoppers in real time.
The part you will play
We are looking for an experienced Host Manager to oversee and lead our in-house livestream host team. This leadership role is vital for boosting host performance, establishing best practices, and building a team that can deliver high-quality livestreams, thereby increasing brand engagement and driving revenue for our brands. The Host Manager will serve as a primary mentor and performance coach, developing and aligning team skills and capabilities with the business goals.
- Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of in-house livestream hosts, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Assign hosting schedules and monitor livestream performance across multiple online platforms (Shopee, TikTok, and Lazada)
- Act as the first escalation point for hosts regarding livestream execution and technical/operational issues
- Training & Development
- Design and deliver training programs for hosts (hosting & presentation skills, product knowledge, sales techniques, crisis handling)
- Provide regular coaching and feedback through mock sessions, performance reviews, and 1:1 mentoring
- Keep the team updated on new trends, platform changes, and livestream best practices
- Performance Management
- Establish KPIs and performance standards for hosts (viewership, engagement, sales conversion, professionalism).
- Monitor livestream performance and analytics, and provide recommendations to enhance results.
- Provide regular reports to department leadership on host and team performance, challenges, and improvement strategies
- Content Strategy Collaboration & Management
- Work closely with Social KAMs, Production & Content teams, and Brand to ensure host scripts, product positioning, and livestream storylines align with Brand and business objectives.
- Support the creative development of engaging show formats, interactive activities, and in-house video content
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging and on-camera representation across all hosts
- Operational Excellence
- Standardize host-related workflows and develop playbooks for livestream preparation, execution, and post-show review.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure proper technical setup, lighting, and sound support for the host's performance.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Proven track record as a successful livestream host with clear accomplishments in growing viewership, duration, engagement, conversion, and sales
- 3-6 years of experience in livestreaming, eCommerce, or related fields
- At least 2 years in a team lead or managerial role
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Proven ability to coach and develop talent, with an emphasis on presentation and content-driven sales skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of the eCommerce platforms (Shopee, TikTok, Lazada) and livestreaming dynamics
- Analytical mindset to interpret performance data and develop actionable plans
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Others:
- English proficiency is an advantage
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends based on livestream schedules
