JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to the Head of Legal Department for advising and organizing legal support on issues arising in commercial business activities; product development; partnerships, advertising, communications, trade promotion, and consumer complaint handling; as well as managing the intellectual property (IP) system. Ensures that the Company, its subsidiaries, and affiliated units operate in compliance with legal regulations and internal policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop annual plans for the department, including operational activities.
- Execute or organize the registration, establishment, and management of the intellectual property system; handle matters related to protecting and establishing IP rights for the Company, its subsidiaries, and affiliated units in accordance with internal IP governance regulations.
- Execute or organize compliance assessments and audits to ensure adherence to laws and internal regulations in the Company's operations, subsidiaries, and affiliated units according to plans set by direct management.
- Draft or coordinate the drafting and review of internal management documents (policies, procedures, regulations, guidelines, etc.) within the department's scope or related to legal compliance in the operations of various divisions and departments.
- Review or organize the review of legal compliance in:
- Product labeling (mandatory content and marketing/communication content displayed on labels).
- Daily business operations and trade promotion activities.
- Conduct or organize legal training and knowledge-sharing sessions for employees of the Company, its subsidiaries, and affiliated units according to plans set by direct management.
- Draft, review, and manage the contract library and contract templates used in the Company's daily operations.
- Draft and review legal documents, correspondence, and materials related to intellectual property and other legal issues arising in daily operations of the Company, its subsidiaries, and affiliated units.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel (if necessary) to resolve legal disputes and litigation related to intellectual property and other operational legal matters, including labor relations.

- Draft, update, and issue internal legal updates/news to monitor regulatory changes and provide updates on key legal documents related to intellectual property and operational legal matters.
- Manage, evaluate, train, and develop department staff to meet objectives in each period.
- Coordinate with other legal teams to complete overall Legal Department tasks and responsibilities.
- Perform reporting and other tasks as assigned by the Head of Legal.
EDUCATION & MAJOR
- Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree
- Major in Law
- Lawyer practicing certificate is an advantage
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience in large-scale enterprises (VNR500), FDI companies, or as a legal consultant in law firms
- At least 2 years of management experience in a similar role in a company or law firm advisory department
PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Strong legal knowledge in labor law, corporate law, investment, business, commerce, and litigation
- In-depth knowledge or understanding of intellectual property law, food production regulations, and governance of large public companies
- General knowledge of corporate management (business, production, finance, investment, import-export, etc.)
