My client is a leading renewable energy company seeking a Legal Counsel based in Hanoi to support their expanding portfolio of investments and renewable energy projects in Vietnam. This role is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer with energy-sector experience and strong international exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support across the company's Vietnamfocused activities, including investments, financing, M&A, solar/wind/renewable project development, and asset divestments.
- Manage legal research, transaction structuring, negotiation, and drafting/reviewing contracts and other legal documents.
- Support the management and resolution of project disputes, including participating in negotiations, litigation, and arbitration proceedings.
- Manage and coordinate the work of external counsel to ensure high-quality and cost-effective legal support.
- Contribute to the company's international compliance framework, helping to strengthen global legal processes, governance, and risk controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Law from a recognized university in Vietnam.
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience in the energy sector.
- International legal exposure preferred; U.S. or U.K. bar admission is a strong advantage.
- Native Vietnamese speaker with excellent English proficiency.
