Responsibilities
Operational / Tactical
Cooperating with PO, Developers to set user stories, define Definition of Done, write Acceptance Criteria before starting work on the coding and testing of any feature.
Reviewing and analyzing product requirement specifications, user stories ==>> Help building up SRS (create requirement specification/ user story for simple features).
Defining the appropriate test cases/ test scripts (manual) to be carried out including the test data to be used, test metrics to be managed.
Executing test case/ test scripts (manual/ automation, integration test, system test, regression test, re-test after the release of fixes) and reviewing results to make sure that our products and the new features that we release are robust and working at their optimum performance.
Reporting and documenting technical issues/ bugs, testing metrics.
Support product before & after release.
Troubleshooting issues
Building up user manual/ guideline (optional)
Management/ Strategic:
Setting the test strategy, test approach, test metrics and planning for test including functional test, performance test, security test & others (the user stories should be divided into testing tasks with the estimation from the Tester about the amount of work that is needed)
Recommending technical and process additions to improve testing quality & productivity (especially automated testing items to get higher test productivity & product quality)
Participate in community group's activities to research new technology, sharing knowledge between teams.
Participate in 1-1 review with team leader / line manager for progress reporting and feedback and career development.
Report to:
PO, Developers, Scrum Master for technical issues/ bugs, testing metrics.
Product Manager / Line manager for day to day works and supports, career path and development
Qualifications
Skills:
Prerequisites
A bachelor's degree in computer science or IT.
A minimum of 8 years experience in testing
Able to create test cases, execute test, bug logging, and communicate with developers.
Able to set the test strategy and test approach.
Able to create a plan for test.
Able to define & track testing metrics.
Experience in test techniques and programming.
Knowledge of software development, database management
Optional: having the following skills is an advantage
Automation test
JIRA / Confluence
Data analytics tool (Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager,
Google Analytics, Excel, Python, Tableau)
Professional effectiveness / Soft skills
Prerequisites
Previously work as senior QC/Tester for product team / company in 2 years
Have strong knowledge of Agile/ Scum
Communicate status of work effectively to the team and leader
Collaboration and work in-person with other team members
Able to work independently and highly focus on work
Pay attention to details
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skill
Presentation skills
Accept feedback graciously and able to learn from past mistakes
Problem-solving skills and decisive knowledge of appropriate testing methods.
