Lead Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Leader or Manager of AI/Data Science Consulting and Implementation to join our leadership team in Ho Chi Minh City. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction, solution design, execution, and delivery of AI & Data Science projects. This position requires a strong technical expertise, solution architecture, and leadership abilities to support the growth and success of AILab consulting & execution services.

Key Responsibilities:

· Implementation and support of delivery by different teams within DS & AI / Data Science projects advising on the architecture, best practices, concepts.

· Making sure technical quality and excellence in architecture of cross-projects.

· Researching and preparing solutions for common DS/ML projects problems, defining the guidelines for team members and the whole Center of Excellence

· Stay abreast of the latest trends and emergencies in AI, machine learning, and data science.

· Responsibility for team of Data Scientists/AI Engineers, ML/AI Architects, other roles helpful to implement DS/AI initiatives

· Be able perform as an architect of team members development, help to addressing the organizations key talents in technical skill.

· Support to Managers on Staffing projects and other engagements.

· Leading & drive team atmosphere and ensure project members achieve high customer satisfaction on their task.

· Analyze client data and business needs to identify opportunities and propose data-driven solutions.

· Building and maintaining relations, decision making on project plan, execution, solution with customers mostly through close cooperation during project acquisition, delivery and maintenance.

· Be able to take Technical Project manager or Delivery lead role when needed

Requirements:

· Have a bachelors degree in computer science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.

· At least 5-8 years of experience in Data & Analytics, preferably DS/AI or NLP.

· At least 3 years in a Team Leader role or similar position.

· Strong, proven knowledge and experience in the following fields: Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, ML Ops, solution operationalization, DevOps.

· Working with stakeholders on different seniority and maturity levels.

· Very good communication, presentation skills, problem solving

· Ability to combine technical and business topics, drive to understand business requirements.

· High ambition, motivation, and passion to achieve new things.

· Very good command of English.

Nice to have:

· Experience in Big Data, cloud architecture (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).

· A deep understanding of a specific domain or industry vertical (healthcare, logistics,).

· Expertise in Solution Design.

Be able to communicate in Japanese.
