Are you a detail-oriented language professional with a passion for high-quality content and cultural accuracy We're looking for a
Freelance Language Assessor (Vietnamese) to support language quality evaluation for marketing materials across digital platforms.
In this role, you'll assess and ensure the quality, tone, and accuracy of Vietnamese content translated from English, with a strong focus on marketing campaigns, social media, and promotional materials. Your feedback will play a key role in maintaining brand consistency and local relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the quality and accuracy of Vietnamese translations for marketing and digital content
- Ensure adherence to local linguistic standards, brand tone, and cultural context
- Provide feedback and scoring based on language quality frameworks
- Collaborate with localisation and quality assurance teams to enhance language output
- Identify linguistic, stylistic, and cultural inconsistencies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of language guidelines and terminology best practices
Requirements:- At least 5+ years in language auditing experience. Proficiency in Vietnamese and English
- Strong understanding of Vietnamese language nuances and cultural context
- Experience in language quality assessment, translation, or editing
- Familiarity with Vietnamese language standards and regulations
- Experience reviewing marketing, advertising, or social media content
- Proven track record in language testing or assessment
- Knowledge of international language quality standards (e.g., ISO 17100)
- Relevant certifications, including at least one of the following:
- Vietnamese Language Certification from Vietnam National University or other reputable institutions
- Translation Certification from the Vietnam Translators Association
- Following certifications would be a plus:
- CIOL Chartered Institute of Linguists
- ATA American Translators Association
- ISO 17100 certification for translation services
- Familiarity with technology-related terminology and content
