Molex Vietnam has been operating its first factory at Thang Long Industrial Park I since 2007. Currently, Molex is investing in a NEW FACTORY located at Thang Long Industrial Park II, Hung Yen province, with a total investment of approximately 145 million USD, covering an area of 100,000 m and divided into 3 phases. This factory will produce high-tech products, such as high-speed connectors, cables and optical devices.
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Manage the reliability tests for product qualification primarily at the Vietnam plant Hung Yen branch. The test engineer ensures smooth laboratory operations by continuously improving reliability efficiency, capability, and technology.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish a reliability lab system and review test methods, including appropriate evaluation methods and enhancing test efficiency.
- Assist the manager in maintaining the laboratory in optimal safety and operating conditions (Facility, Test equipment, Safety, 5S, etc.).
- Create test plans to review product/process risks and eliminate these risks before product release.
- Review reliability lab reports to support new product development, ensuring report integrity and compliance with the reliability lab system.
- Prepare and implement reliability tests according to schedule, accelerating the qualification process for timely product release.
- Analyze test results to determine the root cause of defects, safety risks, and performance issues.
- Source and coordinate external lab tests when internal capabilities or capacities are insufficient.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
Education:
Required:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Experience in Electrical and Electronics Product or related industry.
Work Experience:
Required:
- At least 3 years of experience as a test engineer (lab) or reliability quality engineer.
- Ability to read product drawings.
- Strong planning and execution capabilities, collaborating with related departments and leadership with a sense of urgency.
- Lead efforts to capture requirements and design functional and testing activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid foundational knowledge of quality systems and methodologies, including ISO standards, process control, inspection techniques, and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, 8D).
- Hands-on experience with optical devices, cables, or datacom products.
