MGIV import, distribute and sell variety products from Kokola Group. The imported goods primarily consisted of items categorized under HSN Codes 1905 , 4819. The goods are Biscuits & Wafer.
Right Now We are looking Key Account Manager to develop our business in Vietnam.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing MGIV's direct import customers in Vietnam. Under this business model, customers purchase products directly from Kokola's factory in Indonesia on FOB terms and act as the importer of record. The role serves as the primary commercial link among customers, MGIV and the factory, ensuring that business plans, pricing, forecasts, orders, production, shipment preparation and market execution are aligned and delivered effectively.
This position combines strategic account management with hands-on execution. The successful candidate will grow existing accounts, identify new direct-import opportunities, coordinate cross-border sales activities in English, prepare management reports and lead the Sales Operations Executive supporting daily order and documentation processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Key Account Management & Business Growth
- Own the commercial performance and relationship development of assigned direct import customers.
- Develop annual customer business plans, sales targets, forecasts and account growth initiatives aligned with MGIV objectives.
- Lead commercial discussions covering product portfolio, FOB pricing, order volume, payment terms, launch plans and promotional support within approved company policies.
- Build strong relationships with customer decision-makers and conduct regular business reviews to track performance, opportunities and risks.
- Identify, approach and convert new customers that are capable of importing and distributing Kokola products directly in Vietnam.
2. Customer–Factory Coordination
- Act as the key coordination point among customers, MGIV and Kokola's factory in Indonesia throughout the sales cycle.
- Translate customer requirements into clear factory actions covering product specifications, packaging, pricing, samples, production timing and shipment readiness.
- Coordinate forecasts, purchase orders, proforma invoices, order confirmations and delivery schedules to support accurate and timely execution.
- Follow up on production, documentation and shipment issues; communicate changes promptly and drive practical resolution among all parties.
- Support customers with the commercial and product information required for importation, registration and local market launch, in coordination with relevant internal functions.
3. Sales Execution & Performance Management
- Monitor sell-in, sell-out, inventory, distribution and promotion performance by customer and product.
- Recommend actions to improve sales productivity, assortment, availability, pricing discipline and stock health.
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and rolling forecast, highlighting gaps, business risks and required management decisions.
- Track agreed commercial commitments and coordinate with Finance on payment status and issue resolution where required.
4. Reporting & Business Analysis
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, customer updates and business review materials for the Country Manager and regional stakeholders.
- Analyze customer performance, market developments, competitor activities and commercial data to generate actionable recommendations.
- Ensure customer records, commercial agreements, pricing approvals and sales documentation are complete, accurate and properly maintained.
5. Team & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Lead, coach and prioritize the work of the Sales Operations Executive to ensure responsive and accurate account support.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Finance, Operations, Regulatory and factory teams to execute customer plans and product launches.
- Represent MGIV professionally and ensure compliance with company policies, approval processes and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience in FMCG or consumer goods, including at least 3 years managing key accounts, distributors or direct import customers.
- Demonstrated success in customer negotiation, account planning, forecasting and delivery of sales targets.
- Experience with imported products, international suppliers or cross-border sales coordination is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of FOB commercial terms, order-to-shipment processes and the documentation flow for imported consumer goods is an advantage.
- Strong spoken and written English, with the ability to coordinate confidently with the Indonesia factory and prepare clear business reports and presentations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills, with high ownership and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; able to prepare forecasts, sales analysis and management reports independently.
- People-management capability to coach and supervise a Sales Operations Executive.
- Strong English communication skills are a must.
