What You'll Do

  • Prepare Australian tax returns, financial statements, BAS, and IAS for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Assist with franking accounts, rental schedules, capital gains tax calculations, and other compliance activities.
  • Prepare financial statements to a high standard for senior review with minimal rework.
  • Work with group structures to accurately prepare accounting and taxation deliverables.
  • Reconcile accounting records and maintain accurate financial data across client ledgers.
  • Identify missing information, resolve queries proactively, and keep stakeholders informed throughout each engagement.
  • Prepare compliance workpapers, supporting schedules, and documentation following firm standards.
  • Collaborate with Australian colleagues to deliver high-quality work while meeting deadlines and budgets.

Key Criteria

  • Up to 2 years of experience working with an Australian accounting firm.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an equivalent professional accounting qualification (or currently working towards one).
  • Experience preparing Australian tax returns, financial statements, BAS, and IAS.
  • Good working knowledge of Xero and MYOB accounting software.
  • Understanding of Australian taxation principles, depreciation rules, company tax, and general accounting concepts.
  • Experience with ATO Portal Tax Accounts, reconciliations, and compliance workpapers is advantageous.
  • Exposure to Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) and BGL360 is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a proactive, trustworthy, and accountable approach.

Work Setup

Ho Chi Minh City (Ree Tower): Vietnam business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) with a hybrid setup of 1 day working from home.
