Role Description
As a Junior Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting performance testing, executing various test cases, and analyzing performance metrics to ensure system reliability and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement test strategies in line with business objectives. This is a contract position based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing for some work-from-home flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and execute performance test plans, including load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests.
- Develop and maintain performance test scripts using NeoLoad (primary) and other tools as required (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Translate business requirements and user journeys into realistic performance test scenarios.
- Prepare, manage, and maintain test data to support performance testing.
- Monitor test execution, collect performance metrics, and analyze results to identify bottlenecks or performance issues.
- Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve application performance and stability.
- Support in analysing test results and provide actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to resolve performance issues.
Job Qualifications & Requirements:
- Intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- From 1,5 - 3+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, with at least 1+ year in performance testing.
- Able to self-learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
- Positive, collaborative attitude with good communication skills.
Technical requirements:
- Experience in performance testing and tuning applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with NeoLoad (preferred), plus exposure to JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools.
- Experience in scripting and parameterization using REST, JSON, XML, RegEx, Groovy, Beanshell, or JavaScript
- Knowledge of API and web service testing using tools like SoapUI or Postman.
- Familiarity with application monitoring and profiling tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Understanding of performance metrics (CPU, memory, network, throughput, response time) and ability to analyze them effectively.
- Experience in identifying performance bottlenecks across infrastructure, application, and database layers.

- Offer/Rate: Based on experience and qualifications
- SHUI contributions are based on the Full gross salary (from the 1st onboarding date)
- Duration: 6 months at 1st service contractor (no probation)
