Cosigma is an IT and engineering services company supporting industrial digital transformation projects between France and Vietnam. We work on topics such as Mechanical Parametric design and automation, PLM / ERP integration, process automation and industrial software customization.
We are seeking a motivated Junior Mechanical Engineer who combines strong engineering fundamentals with a passion for automation and digital tools. The ideal candidate will support mechanical design and product development, with some ability or knowledge to leverage scripting, AI tools, and modern software workflows to improve product engineering efficiency.
This person will work our international Product Lifecycle Management consultant team (between France, Vietnam & Korea) on naval shipbuilding topics such as scaffolding, block design, lifting or 2D drawing generation (non exhaustive list).
Your Responsibilities:
Scripting and Rule Automation:
- Read, understand, and modify scripts under supervision (EKL, a scripting language similar to VBA).
- Work closely with business consultants and engineers to implement mechanical and engineering rules using variables, conditions, loops, functions, and object attributes.
- Support validation logic, including mandatory fields, naming conventions, maturity states, ownership, object links, and data consistency.
- Help parameterize existing code to make it reusable across different contexts.
- Assist in defining application inputs, outputs, parameters, and user interactions.
- Assist in integrating EKL scripts with application components.
- Support basic packaging activities for internal prototypes.
- Document application behavior, dependencies, test cases, and user instructions.
Note: The work will be realized using the Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Background in Mechanical Engineering, Software Design or related field.
- Good understanding of product development and engineering processes.
- Basic programming or scripting skills are preferred.
- Basic understanding of databases, APIs, backend logic, or application workflows.
- Experience with PLM platform 3DExperience or any other advanced CAD or PLM system is a strong bonus.
- Experience with the 3DEXPERIENCE PLM platform or any other advanced CAD or PLM system is a strong advantage.
- Basic understanding of creating, maintaining, and validating Bills of Materials (BOMs), parts and material master data, product structures, and related engineering data.
- Understanding of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and their associated approval workflows.
Languages
- English: good knowledge, both in writing and speaking.
