Role Overview
The Junior Account Manager is a development-focused role within the Client Success team. You will support Senior Account Managers in managing client accounts, coordinating internal teams, and ensuring smooth day-to-day execution.
This role is designed for someone eager to learn how high-performing accounts are run from gaining exposure to strategy, performance marketing, and stakeholder management while building strong foundations in communication, organisation, and problem-solving.
You are not expected to lead strategy independently while you are expected to own your responsibilities, ask good questions, and steadily grow in confidence and capability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Communication & Account Support
- Support Senior Account Managers as a secondary point of contact on assigned accounts.
- Manage day-to-day client communications (emails, follow-ups, clarifications) under senior guidance.
- Attend client calls, take structured meeting notes, and circulate clear action items.
- Help track client requests, feedback, and approvals to ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
- Escalate risks, concerns, or unclear requests early to the Senior Account Manager.
2. Project Coordination & Execution Support
- Assist in coordinating timelines, deliverables, and internal tasks across teams (creative, paid media, SEO, B2B, data).
- Update project management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Google Sheets) to reflect task status and dependencies.
- Follow up with internal teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Support quality checks by ensuring outputs align with briefs before senior review.
3. Reporting & Performance Support
- Assist in compiling monthly performance reports and dashboards.
- Pull data from platforms such as GA4, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and social channels.
- Help summarise performance trends, key metrics, and observations for senior review.
- Learn how data translates into insights, recommendations, and strategic decisions.
4. Strategic Exposure & Learning
- Contribute observations or ideas during internal discussions, informed by data or market trends.
- Support roadmap preparation by gathering inputs, timelines, and historical performance.
- Gradually build understanding of performance marketing, SEO, content strategy, B2B and client business models.
- Learn how strategic recommendations are developed, presented, and implemented.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the operations and data teams to support delivery.
- Help translate client feedback into clear internal notes and revisions.
- Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and flag them to the Senior Account Manager.
- Build strong working relationships across teams through clear communication and reliability.
6. Learning & Professional Development
- Participate actively in internal training sessions, reviews, and workshops.
- Complete at least one online course per quarter (e.g. LinkedIn Learning, Coursera, platform certifications).
- Share learnings or reflections with the team through short internal updates.
- Demonstrate growth in confidence, independence, and strategic thinking over time.
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in account management, digital marketing, agency, or client-facing roles.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
- Curious mindset with a strong willingness to learn and improve.
- Basic familiarity with digital marketing concepts (paid media, social, SEO, analytics) is a plus.
- Comfort with tools such as Google Workspace, project management platforms, and spreadsheets.
- Positive, proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
