Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Technical Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will combine strong hands-on Java expertise with technical leadership capabilities, mentoring engineers while driving architecture decisions and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable Java-based applications.
- Define technical standards, coding guidelines, and development best practices.
- Review solution designs and code to ensure quality, maintainability, performance, and security.
- Drive technical discussions, estimations, and architecture reviews.
Solution Development
- Design and develop cloud-native microservices and backend systems.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Ensure compliance with security and software engineering standards.
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Technical Lead or Team Lead role.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in Java (Java 8/11/17+).
- Extensive experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
- Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP services, and API security.
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB).
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
- Good understanding of system design, design patterns, and software architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, finance, insurance, or enterprise platforms.
- AWS/Azure certifications.
- Experience with observability tools such as ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace, or Datadog.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
- Experience managing offshore/onshore teams.
