Java Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Provides testing parameters using automation testing tools to assures quality of the code
• Implementation on heave Test Driven Development model in all projects.
• Ensure the business logic of each individual component (microservices architecture) is behaving according to specifications.
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts of backend APIs that are built on microservices frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Ensure that the orchestration of services can be properly executed, and that input/output allow the right level of communication.
• Collaborate closely with the product team and the quality assurance team in charge of business tests.
• Work in an agile (Scrum) development environment which require participation from product design to product delivery
• Review quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Pro-actively research and determine industry best practices in software design and integration solutions.

Profile

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelors in Engineering or Business
• Hands-on experienced in Unit Test, Integration Test and end to end testing
• Experience in JOOQ – Java Object-oriented Querying (ORM)
• Knowledge of Java Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Java, Kotlin
• Experience with unit and integration test automation tools such as Junit, Postman, Newman or equivalent tools
• Experience in Agile environments and practices, such as Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming and Continuous Integration and Delivery is plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD, automated unit & integration testing;
• Strong experience of Javalin - RESTful API design, development and usage;
• Writing modular, well-tested, secure, maintainable and scalable code;
• Web service testing (SOAP/REST)
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
• Experienced or expose to PostgreSQL – RDBMS and Liquibase – DB Versioning
• Experience with open-source test tools/frameworks like JUnit, NUnit, TestNG, Mockito
• Good communication skills spoken and written in English
