IT Project Manager is responsible for the comprehensive planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of technological initiatives, driving digital development across the university campus, collaborating with stakeholders to define IT goals and priorities, and consulting with users to provide optimal IT solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with leadership, students, faculty, and staff to define IT goals and priorities for the campus. Develop detailed project plans and identify Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
Project Implementation: Directly manage and track project progress, ensuring software deliverables meet established deadlines. Ensure the quality of software project deliverables meets established deadlines.
Resource Management: Identify and manage financial, human, and material resources required for project implementation. Manage and follow up tasks with an overview and priorities.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Ensure effective collaboration between the IT department, functional departments, and external partners. Maintain smooth communication and professional relations with diverse stakeholders.
Business Consulting: Work directly with users to gather requirements, analyse problems, and provide optimal IT solution consulting. Ensure the transformation of business process requirements into Technical specifications.
Technical Coordination: Collaborate with development and systems teams to resolve technical bottlenecks and optimize workflows. Ensure to act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical colleagues.
Architectural Oversight: Participate in architectural discussions and preliminary system design (Databases, APIs, Cloud). Ensure scalability and security are integrated into the system design.
Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks during the development process and implement contingency plans. Minimize project delays through proactive identification and mitigation of risks.
Reporting: Provide regular updates on project progress, results, and challenges. Ensure reports are accurate, transparent, and provided in a timely manner.
