About the Role
We are looking for an Fresher IT Helpdesk Officer to support employees with workstation-related needs and ensure IT equipment is properly prepared, maintained, and tracked throughout its lifecycle. The role supports onboarding activities, provides first-line hardware support, coordinates repairs and replacements with vendors, and maintains accurate asset records for laptops, monitors, and other workplace technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employee onboarding by coordinating account requests and preparing IT equipment.
- Configure and prepare laptops and peripherals for new employees.
- Provide first-line support for laptop and workstation issues, including performance, battery, and hardware-related problems.
- Perform basic hardware maintenance and upgrades.
- Coordinate repairs, warranty claims, and replacements with external vendors.
- Research and recommend workstation hardware specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets and manage equipment handovers and returns.
- Support hardware inventory management and lifecycle tracking.
Requirements
- Fresh graduates or up to 1 year of experience in IT Support role.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and troubleshooting.
- Good command of English, especially verbal.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Attention to detail in asset management and documentation.
- Customer-focused approach with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with employees, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
