Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Lead and manage the IT team, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and their potential applications in manufacturing.
2. IT Infrastructure & Software Management:
- Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems and data.
- Manage IT budgets and resources effectively.
- SOP Review and Enhancement: Analyze existing Standard Operating Procedures, identifying areas for improvement to streamline processes and enhance project efficiency.
3. Project Management
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Manage IT systems related to production planning, scheduling, and execution most specifically to help lead the implementation of a shop floor data capturing tool.
- Manage data analytics and reporting systems to monitor production performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify IT needs and implement solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee project progress, implementing robust quality control measures to maintain high standards of deliverables.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, progress reports, and change requests, alongside updates to SOPs.
- Problem Resolution: Address project-related issues promptly, employing innovative solutions to maintain project momentum and achieve objectives.
4. Security & Disaster recovery
- Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect the company's IT infrastructure and data.
- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
- Planning for and managing potential IT disruptions or disasters.
- Ensuring that the organization can recover quickly from outages and continue operations.
5. Internal and External Stakeholder management
- Communicating IT matters to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborating with other departments to understand their IT needs and propose solutions which fit the overall business strategy and department's needs.
- Ensuring that IT investments deliver a return on investment.
- Manage IT budgets and resources effectively.
- Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation, ensuring projects stay within predefined financial parameters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field (Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.)
- Proficient in English communication
- Experience leading an IT department as director in a large manufacturing environment
- 10 years of relevant experience of which preferably at least 3 years as IT Director
- Analytical and Technical problem-solving skills. Able to switch between detail and high level
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, adept at motivating and managing teams
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (Experience with SharePoint, Workflows, ERP Implementation, managing vendor relationships IT Project Management Methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
