IT Director

Role Overview

The IT Director/ Head of IT leads the company's technology function, ensuring that IT strategy, infrastructure, systems, and security effectively support business performance, scalability, and long-term growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus but not required.

Proven experience leading IT functions in a startup, scale-up, or fast-growing organization, with direct ownership of systems and outcomes.

Strong hands-on expertise across IT infrastructure, cloud environments, cybersecurity, enterprise and SaaS applications, software licensing, and hardware lifecycle management.

Demonstrated ability to build, scale, and lead lean IT teams, while remaining actively involved in day-to-day technical execution.

Experience designing and implementing IT processes, standards, and controls from the ground up, rather than inheriting mature structures.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with founders, leadership teams, and non-technical stakeholders.

Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Hands-on & Execution-Focused Capabilities

Comfortable acting as both strategic leader and individual contributor, especially in early or rapid-growth phases.

Ability to quickly evaluate, select, and deploy tools or platforms that balance speed, cost, and scalability.

Strong troubleshooting skills with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.

Willingness to take ownership of critical incidents, system issues, and urgent operational needs.

Preferred Experience

Background in setting up or managing cloud-first or SaaS-heavy environments.

Familiarity with lightweight IT governance, security best practices, and compliance suitable for startups.

Experience with automation, monitoring, asset tracking tools, or DevOps-style workflows.

Strong analytical thinking and the ability to make decisions with incomplete information.
