Job Overview

Job Title: IT Business Analyst (Senior/Mid)

Team: IT BA Team

Direct Manager: Associate ITBA Manager

Working Location: Lottery Tower, 77 Tran Nhan Ton, An Dong Ward, HCMC

Established in 2019 as Vietnam's pioneering Buy Now, Pay Later provider, Fundiin is evolving into a data-first, AI-enabled platform for financial services in 2026. Fundiin partners with leading banks and financial institutions to orchestrate and optimize the distribution of a wide range of products — from BNPL and personal loans to credit cards — through a single, seamless app.

Job Summary

We're looking for an IT Business Analyst to join the ITBA team — the team building core technical systems for decisioning, customer data, and financial reconciliation — while also owning specific stages of the lending flow (eKYC, application, underwriting integration, disbursement, or repayment). This role requires understanding both the platform's core systems and the end-to-end lending business, and suits someone with a product mindset, system thinking, and a drive to grow in fintech.

Qualifications

What You'll Do

1. Core systems & requirements

  • Gather, analyze, and document business & system requirements for the team's core technical systems (decisioning, customer data, reconciliation).
  • Work with Dev, QC, and Data teams to design APIs, data flows, and business logic; ensure requirements translate accurately into functional design.
  • Analyze current business workflows to identify gaps and propose system improvements.

2. Lending flow ownership

  • Own detailed specs for a specific stage of the lending flow (e.g., eKYC, application, disbursement, or repayment), as assigned, building toward broader end-to-end ownership over time.
  • Write clear, structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and edge cases for assigned features, following the INVEST standard.
  • Flag inconsistencies or gaps in specs before handoff to engineering.

3. Lender & partner integration

  • Support merchant integration and other internal operational activities.
  • Assist in documenting lender-specific data exchange and integration touchpoints.
  • Support UAT coordination with QC, partners.

4. Credit decisioning integration

  • Assist in documenting the input/output structure of the lending flow ↔ decisioning API integration point.
  • Support API spec drafts based on defined requirements.

5. Delivery, QA & collaboration

  • Manage the backlog, write User Stories following the INVEST standard, and participate in sprint planning and grooming sessions.
  • Support QA/UAT with detailed test cases, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and partners to gather and clarify requirements.
  • Write and maintain BRD/PRD/User story, ensuring traceability.
  • Communicate blockers and risks promptly; collaborate with engineering, risk, and operations teams on assigned work items.
Who We're Looking For

Must-Haves

  • At least 2 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, preferably in fintech, banking, digital lending, or digital products.
  • Strong understanding of system flow, API integration, and business logic modeling; comfortable working with large, interconnected systems.
  • Experience writing structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
  • Has a product mindset: prioritization, backlog management, and writing clear, traceable requirements.
  • Hands-on with Jira, Confluence, Postman, Swagger, Figma, and basic SQL queries.
  • Comfortable using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) for drafting requirements and iterating on output.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work effectively with stakeholders, Dev, and QC in an agile environment.
  • Responsible, proactive, and committed to continuous self-improvement, with willingness to grow into broader end-to-end flow ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in lending, credit risk, or payments; exposure to loan origination, underwriting, disbursement, or repayment flows.
  • Understanding of data modeling or rule-based/decision logic.
  • Familiar with eKYC, credit bureau integration, or fraud prevention concepts.
  • Experience with AI-powered products (chatbots, automation, recommendations).
  • Familiar with Scrum/Agile methodology.
