Job Summary**
The IT Application Administrator II at Jabil Vietnam Company Limited is responsible for the effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of various application systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security for business operations.
Job Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain a variety of enterprise applications and systems, including but not limited to ERP (SAP), MES, PLM, and other proprietary business applications.
- Perform routine system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
- Apply operating system and application patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure and add new services as necessary.
- Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application-related issues, working with end-users and other IT teams to resolve problems efficiently.
- Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement or optimization.
- Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity procedures for critical applications.
- Collaborate with development teams and vendors for application enhancements, bug fixes, and new deployments.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within various application systems.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT application administration or a similar role.
- Proven experience with the administration of enterprise-level applications (e.g., SAP, MES, PLM).
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
