2.Role Description:
TVS Investment Banking partners with companies to raise capital, execute M&A, and solve complex strategic problems. As an Associate, you will play a central role in the execution of M&A, ECM and DCM transactions, contributing to real deal progress through hands-on financial analysis, modelling, and preparation of client-facing materials. We are looking for motivated bankers with 2-4 years of relevant experience who want to grow in a dynamic environment.
3.Key responsibilities:
Transaction Execution
- Support the execution of M&A, equity and debt capital market transactions under the guidance of senior bankers.
- Assist in coordinating due diligence, financial analysis, valuation, and transaction structuring.
- Prepare and refine transaction materials including information memoranda, management presentations, financial models, and investment teasers.
- Liaise with legal advisors, auditors, consultants, and other transaction stakeholders as directed.
Financial Analysis & Valuation
- Build and maintain detailed financial models under supervision, with increasing ownership over time.
- Conduct valuation analyses including DCF, comparable companies, and precedent transactions.
- Perform industry and company research to support client advisory and investor discussions.
Client & Investor Support
- Participate in client meetings and investor discussions alongside senior bankers.
- Prepare strategic advisory materials, client presentations, and meeting summaries.
- Support relationship management with clients and investors through responsive follow-up and quality deliverables.
Project Support
- Assist in coordinating workflow, internal deal teams, and managing project timelines.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of all client deliverables, including formatting, data integrity, and logic checks.
- Track transaction progress and flag potential issues to senior team members.
Business Development
- Prepare pitch materials and market updates.
- Assist in identifying potential investors and strategic partners for clients.
- Support senior bankers in origination and business development activities
4.Requirements:
Skills and qualities
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Attention to detail across numbers, formatting, and logic, while maintaining sight of the broader picture.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and high pressure, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Vietnamese and English, with the ability to conduct and lead client meetings.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or related fields.
- CFA progress, MBA, or other relevant professional qualifications are advantageous.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity.
- Exposure to or participation in past transactions is preferred.
- A more qualified candidate can be considered for a more senior position.
