Position Summary & Objective:

The Inventory Planning Analyst monitors and provides guidance for all customers with apparel inventory contracts to support and maintain appropriate inventory levels of approved trim items. Analyzes, monitors and replenishes inventory levels on a recurring basis according to agreed upon quantities.

Essential Functions Performed by the Position:

• Creates and provides inventory reports to customers on a recurring basis to inform of current inventory levels. Provides feedback, suggestions or questions regarding future forecasting, items that are not moving and comes to an agreement with the customer how to proceed.
• Performs regularly scheduled customer analysis meetings on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to solicit feedback from the customer, identify new items, review liabilities and find ways to grow the account. Analyzes longer-term forecasting and recommends how to capitalize on potential inventory opportunities to either increase or reduce inventory.
• Provides analyses regarding items being ordered, opportunities for potential inventory, where items are ordered from, how many places and where to whip and hold inventory.
• Monitors aging inventory for domestic and international inventory locations to ensure any concerns are addressed regarding items not performing as well as expected and excess inventory. When necessary, recommends non-renewal of inventory contracts and initiates return or disposal of inventory based on client desires.
• Coordinates with Program Analyst based on Open Purchase Orders and master garment reports to understand what types of and how many trim items are needed per account and by when.
• Proactively partners with the Senior Inventory Planner to coordinate inventory suggestions with Sales Executives in preparation for annual Lunar New Year holiday closures within the Pacific Rim to ensure enough inventory is on hand at each location to continue operations.

Position Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related work experience.

Experience:

• 0-2 years of increasingly responsible experience in the analysis of sales program financial and related data along with management of supporting databases containing customer, contractor and supplier information on behalf of an operations unit in support of company general sales effort.

Certifications/Licenses:

• None.

Language Proficiency:

• Fluent in English.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Manage and direct development of comprehensive and complex inventory management systems.

• Prepare new and assess existing inventory agreements and provide recommendations for changes, additions and deletions to management.

• Good communication skills for interacting at all levels.

Physical Characteristics and Demands This role is sedentary in nature, you must be able to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time.
