Role Overview

We are hiring a professional Interpreter & Translation Officer whose primary responsibility is Vietnamese English translation and live interpretation (7080% of the role).

This includes translating documents, interpreting during client meetings, calls, site visits, and events, and ensuring all communication is accurate, clear, and professional.

The role also requires taking structured notes and preparing clear conversation summaries so all discussions, decisions, and next steps are properly recorded.

The remaining 2030% of the role focuses on practical Personal Assistant support to assist daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

Translation & Live Interpretation (7080%)

Translate documents, emails, proposals, technical drawings, contracts, and reports between Vietnamese and English

Provide live interpretation during:

Client meetings

Phone and video calls

Site visits and technical discussions

Conferences, presentations, and industry events

Perform real-time spoken translation during presentations using an earpiece or AirPods so management can understand content live without interrupting speakers

Accurately translate technical terminology related to:

Construction and architecture

Solar energy systems and electrical systems

Engineering and project development

Maintain high accuracy, clarity, and professional business language

Proofread all translated materials

Conversation Notes & Summaries

Take structured notes during meetings, calls, site visits, and events

Prepare written summaries including:

Key points discussed or presented

Technical details and requirements

Decisions made

Action items and follow-ups

Organise records for easy reference

Personal Assistant Support (2030%)

Researching and sourcing products, services, and suppliers as requested

Arranging purchases when required

Coordinating logistics for meetings, site visits, and events

Scheduling meetings only when requested (primarily for non-English-speaking clients)

General admin support to improve workflow efficiency

Providing practical daily assistance to management

Experience & Background (Ideal Candidate)

Experience in professional interpretation and translation, preferably in:

Construction or architecture

Solar energy or renewable energy

Engineering, infrastructure, or technical projects

Comfortable performing real-time interpretation during presentations and live events

Strong understanding of technical terminology

Experience working in business or corporate environments with professional communication standards

Confident using polite, professional language with clients and partners

Required Skills

Fluent Vietnamese and English (spoken and written)

Excellent real-time interpreting ability

Strong written translation skills

High accuracy and attention to detail

Strong listening, summarising, and note-taking skills

Professional, organised, and reliable
