JOB DESCRIPTION
Sourcing Strategy Preparation
- Align sourcing initiatives with banner needs and commercial margin targets
- Define product selection and target vendors for Deal Flash, Outlet, and Treasure Hunt sourcing models
- Consolidate yearly sourcing calendar and priorities with Commercial & Merchandising
- Benchmark competitors and industry trends to identify high-potential sourcing zones
Vendor Identification & Launch
- Scout new international vendors via fairs, platforms, and direct approaches
- Pre-qualify vendors based on quality, pricing, and compliance standards
- Build product opportunities with vendors and validate technical & commercial feasibility
- Initiate vendor onboarding in coordination with QA, Legal, Finance, and Logistics
Negotiation & Contracting
- Lead commercial negotiations (cost, volume, payment terms, MOQ, returns)
- Ensure pricing competitiveness and product uniqueness per sourcing stream
- Formalize contracts, NDAs, and commercial agreements aligned with company policies
Ordering & Follow-up
- Issue purchasing requests and follow PO lifecycle with internal teams
- Track production readiness, order status, and delivery planning
- Align packaging, labelling, and product specs with QA/QC standards
Cross-functional Coordination
- Liaise with Category Managers to align on commercial calendar, margin targets and integration of products into existing range
- Coordinate with Merchandising & VM, Quality, Master Data, Stores and other service to guarantee best and compliant implementation in-store
Reporting & Process Optimization
- Maintain vendor database, sourcing trackers, and performance dashboards
- Analyze sourcing hit rate, lead time, and cost competitiveness
- Recommend process improvements and sourcing automation tools
REQUIRED
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field. An MBA or relevant Master's degree is a strong plus.
Seniority:
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience in international sourcing/procurement within retail, related sectors, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
- Deep expertise in end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier development, and global supply chain management for Non-Food products
