Junior School Librarian – Job Description
Role Purpose: Manage and develop the Junior School Library, fostering a love of reading and independent learning among pupils aged 5–11.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging library lessons and literacy support.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate information literacy into the curriculum.
- Manage library systems, cataloguing, and resources.
- Organize events (book fairs, author visits, reading challenges).
- Promote a reading culture through displays and programmes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience as a librarian, ideally in a junior/primary school.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Ability to inspire young learners and promote literacy.
- Legal right to work in Vietnam.
