Job Description

Role Purpose

The IBD Manager is a more senior role than BD Manager. This person is expected to manage multi-country business development, regional market planning, distributor strategy, and market expansion projects.

The role will support HQ International Dept. and senior management in building Emers international business across Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Indo-China.

This person should not only develop customers, but also help evaluate markets, business models, country opportunities, operational requirements, and commercial risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop regional business plans for assigned countries or market clusters.
  • Identify market opportunities by country, customer type, channel, and brand.
  • Build distributor, wholesale, retail, EC, and cross-border business development strategy.
  • Evaluate potential partners, business models, investment needs, and commercial risks.
  • Support negotiation with key customers, distributors, brand principals, or business partners.
  • Prepare market entry plans, business proposals, and senior management updates.
  • Manage BD pipeline across multiple countries and ensure regular follow-up.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including sales, logistics, warehouse, finance, legal, merchandise, and brand teams.
  • Support overseas branch development and future country management structure.
  • Help build working processes for international market expansion.

Must-have Requirements

  • Regional or international business development experience.
  • Multi-country market exposure, preferably in SEA, South Asia, Indo-China, or APAC.
  • Strong English communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial planning and business analysis ability.
  • Practical understanding of import/export, cross-border trade, distributor business, payment terms, shipment flow, and overseas customer management.
  • Able to work with senior management and external business partners.
  • Able to handle unclear, changing, and fast-moving situations.
  • Strong coordination ability across different departments and countries.
  • Leadership potential and willingness to travel or consider overseas assignment.

Good-to-have Background

  • Regional BD, country development, distributor management, or international commercial role.
  • Sports, footwear, apparel, fashion, FMCG, consumer goods, trading, or distribution business.
  • Experience in market entry, new country setup, business model evaluation, or regional expansion.
  • Experience working with overseas branches or local partners.

Working Location / Travel Requirement

  • Based in Taiwan HQ or assigned regional location. Regional travel is required. Future overseas assignment or regional market responsibility may be considered.

Reporting Line

  • Reports to HQ International Dept. / Director of International Development or assigned senior management.
