JOB PURPOSE
As the International Brand & Business Development Manager, you will spearhead the company's global expansion by driving international sales, opening new distribution channels, acquiring key retail accounts, and building long-term brand equity for proprietary product lines in key international markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. International Business Development & Sales Expansion
- Develop and execute annual, quarterly, and monthly business growth plans for target overseas markets.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic B2B partners, including importers, distributors, wholesalers, and major supermarket chains.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, distribution models, credit terms, trade marketing budgets, and contract agreements.
- Conduct continuous market research and competitor mapping to capture consumer trends and identify portfolio opportunities.
2. International Key Account & Retail Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global retailers, regional distributors, and strategic accounts.
- Manage client presentations, product pitches, listing proposals, and commercial terms.
- Establish monthly sales forecasts for key accounts to support supply chain, production, and inventory planning.
- Oversee in-store execution, distribution coverage, and promotional activations with local partners.
3. Brand Equity & Portfolio Development
- Formulate and execute market-specific brand development plans for proprietary food and agricultural brands.
- Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, and Operations teams to adapt product positioning, packaging, and labeling to meet target country regulations and consumer preferences.
- Monitor global brand performance, market feedback, and ROI on marketing spend.
4. Global Trade Fairs & Strategic Networking
- Plan and manage the company's participation in premier international trade shows (e.g., Gulfood, SIAL, Anuga).
- Represent the company at international exhibitions and networking events to generate high-value commercial leads.
- Convert event leads into long-term commercial partnerships.
5. Leadership & Financial Performance
- Oversee P&L performance, gross margins, and revenue targets by market and customer segment.
- Lead, coach, and scale the International Business Development team to achieve stretch KPIs.
- Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), working guidelines, and commercial toolkits for global operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of proven track record in International Business Development, Global Sales, Key Account Management, or Brand Management within FMCG, Food & Beverage, Agriculture (Rice/Grains), or Consumer Goods.
- Market Track Record: Demonstrated experience in expanding international markets via importers, distributors, retail chains, or major supermarket networks.
- Global Trade Fairs: Solid experience participating in international B2B trade fairs (Gulfood, SIAL, Anuga, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Trade Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade practices, export logistics, Incoterms, international payment terms (L/C, T/T), and commercial contracts.
- Skills & Mindset: Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills. Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and leadership capability.
- Language: Business fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required for daily international negotiations.
