Job Description


Position Context

  • Participate in the development of the VINFAST Vehicle Institute, specifically within the Interior Engineering Department.

  • Lead the development and integration of interior lighting systems for future vehicle programs.

  • Work in a fast-paced start-up environment with quick decision-making and high ownership.
  • Strong focus on product quality, innovation, customer experience, and program timing.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of interior lighting components and systems.

  • Coordinate with suppliers, external partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver lighting solutions aligned with vehicle targets.

  • Manage technical discussions related to ambient lighting, functional lighting, HMI integration, and lighting performance.
  • Support concept development, packaging studies, DFMEA, DVP, and issue resolution activities.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to management for engineering decisions.
  • Implement best engineering practices and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Support vehicle build activities, testing, and production launch readiness.
  • Report project status, risks, and technical issues to management.

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in automotive interior lighting engineering or related fields.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • Strong knowledge of interior lighting systems, ambient lighting, LEDs, light guides, optics, and related components.
  • Experience working with OEMs, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Familiar with automotive development processes including DFMEA, DVP, APQP, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and multicultural environment.
  • High proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated with strong ownership mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven problem-solving capability.
