Job Description

This role requires a dynamic incumbent with strong communication skills, sales experience, CRM proficiency, industry knowledge and a target-driven mindset. You will drive revenue and business growth by conducting outbound calls to prospects, qualifying leads, promoting services, and closing sales opportunities over the phone, ensuring success in meeting targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to prospects and leads to introduce logistics and freight forwarding services, qualify leads, and schedule appointments for the sales team.
  • Follow up on inbound leads, inquiries, and quotes to provide information, address questions, and move leads through the sales funnel.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, leads, and sales activities in the CRM system for tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Present and explain service offerings, pricing structures, and value propositions persuasively to drive customer interest and engagement.
  • Identify customer needs, challenges, and pain points to recommend appropriate solutions and services that meet their specific requirements.
  • Work closely with the sales team to coordinate follow-ups, handovers, and ensure a seamless transition from lead generation to closing deals.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets by consistently engaging with leads, making outbound calls, and converting opportunities into sales.
  • Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge through training, feedback sessions, and staying updated on industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree graduate in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • From 3 years of inside sales experience, preferably in the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers over the phone, build relationships, and effectively convey information about logistics services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, demonstrating a results-driven approach and ability to close deals.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools to manage leads, track interactions, and generate reports to monitor performance.
  • Knowledge of logistics and freight forwarding terminology, processes, and industry trends to have meaningful conversations with potential clients.
  • Resilience, persistence, and a positive mindset to handle rejection, overcome objections, and maintain motivation in a sales environment.
