Job Responsibilities
Role Overview
The role is responsible for supporting and overseeing the organization's information security and Information Technology (IT) risk management programs, ensuring robust protection of information assets and adherence to relevant policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. It involves monitoring security controls, conducting risk assessments, responding to incidents, and collaborating with IT, business units, and external partners to effectively manage technology-related risks. This role also leads the development and execution of the overall security strategy to ensure operational resilience and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events, alerts, and vulnerabilities using security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, etc).
- Support the implementation and maintenance of IT security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Conduct or assist with IT risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and security audits.
- Respond to security incidents, investigate breaches, and assist in incident reporting and root cause analysis.
- Assist in user awareness training and promote security best practices across the organization.
- Support compliance efforts with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, etc).
- Maintain and update IT security documentation and risk registers.
- Coordinate with IT and business teams to remediate identified risks and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, trends and technologies, and provide training and guidance to end-users on IT systems and best practices.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Technology, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Security, IT Risk Management, or related IT role.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing security programs, policies, and controls with strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, risk management frameworks, and regulatory standards (ISO 27001, NIST).
- Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, DLP, and monitoring tools.
- Proven experience in managing incident response, conducting forensic investigations, overseeing vulnerability management processes, and IT infrastructure (including cloud and application security).
- Proven ability to lead teams and projects, with strong project management and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex security topics to non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capability to manage multiple priorities independently, adapt to new technologies, and maintain a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Professional certificates such as CISSP, CISA, ISO 27001 Foundation or other relevant security or risk management credentials are preferred.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English, both oral and written.
