Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Information Technology Security Specialist to strengthen our cybersecurity team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in network security and practical experience in managing security technologies. With 3 to 5 years of experience in the IT security field, applicants should have a demonstrated ability to implement and optimize security measures and possess a proactive approach to cybersecurity challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Identify vulnerabilities within our network and resolve any potential issues that could cause security breaches.
- Deploy and manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint security solutions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of organization-wide security policies and protocols.
- Assist in the coordination of incident response efforts and participate in security breach investigations.
- Collaborate with team members and customers to provide effective security solutions that align with business objectives.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) are desirable.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in network security, with hands-on experience in managing various security technologies.
- Exposure to or experience working in professional services or consulting environments; experience with Big 4 is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with the implementation of network security protocols and data protection strategies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proven ability to engage with customers and colleagues at all levels, providing security guidance and solutions that meet business needs.
