Report to: Head of User Innovation
We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join the User Innovation team to drive the analysis, design, and delivery of digital trading products and internal systems.
In this role, you will work closely with Product Owners, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into clear system requirements and process designs. The ideal candidate has strong experience in securities products, trading systems, and financial platforms, with the ability to define business processes, system integrations, and functional specifications for complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and engineering teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and system documentation.
- Define and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions using standard modeling methods (e.g., BPMN).
- Analyze and design system integrations, APIs, and data flows between internal systems and external partners.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and properly implemented.
- Support product development throughout the lifecycle including requirement clarification, solution validation, and release support.
- Work closely with QA teams during testing phases to ensure features meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Identify improvement opportunities in business processes, trading workflows, and system efficiency.
- Maintain and manage documentation related to product features, system processes, and integrations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in securities, financial services, or fintech companies.
- Strong understanding of securities products, trading workflows, and brokerage operations.
- Experience analyzing and defining requirements for trading platforms, financial systems, or digital investment products.
- Experience working with system integrations, APIs, and data flow analysis.
- Strong ability to define and document business processes and workflows using BPMN or similar process modeling standards.
- Experience working with process definitions in XML-based workflow systems or BPM platforms is a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with core securities systems or brokerage core platforms is a strong advantage.
- Strong understanding of securities trading lifecycle (order placement, matching, settlement, portfolio management).
- Experience designing end-to-end trading workflows (account, order management, settlement, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
