Job Description

We're hiring: Import Operations & Procurement Executive (HCMC | DDS Petro Group) Full-time

If you're ambitious and want a role where you don't just executebut grow into a future energy leader who can connect operations + trade finance + market intelligence + risk controlthis is the job.

At DDS Petro, you are not here to collect a salary. You are here to build a career in energy supply and trading infrastructure, with real ownership, real pressure, and real learning.

Supreme KPI: Zero supply disruption caused by internal coordination failure, documentation gaps, operational weakness, or ignored risk signals.

Why this role is a career builder

This is a rare hybrid seat: import execution, procurement discipline, financial control, and market awareness. You will gradually learn to think like a supply leader who understands both:

Can we discharge and clear on time and

Is this the best landed cost, best funding structure, and best risk posture

What you will own (scope of work)1) End-to-End Import Operations (Execution Excellence)

Run the Master Import Schedule (laycan/ETA/berth windows) and execute end-to-end: vessel arrival/STS discharge customs clearance downstream distribution.

Control bottlenecks: tank capacity, pumping rate, berth windows, customs lead time, and downstream dispatch cadence.

Build SLAs and execution logs; lead incident war-room when disruptions happen.

2) Procurement Execution + Landed Cost Discipline

Execute RFQs, compare quotes, prepare approval packs, and manage contract execution: nomination, shipping instructions, specs, tolerances, and claims.

Track the Landed Cost Bridge: premium + freight + port costs + insurance + finance cost + losses/claims.

Drive continuous cost reduction: demurrage, waiting time, shifting, overtime, extra surveys.

3) Import Trade Finance & Cash Discipline (Training + Contribution)

You don't need to be an expert on Day 1but you must be hungry to learn and contribute quickly.

Coordinate with Finance/Treasury on LC/TT/UPAS, document discrepancy risk, cost of funds, and funding readiness.

Build basic cash-flow forecasts for each cargo cycle (payment timeline, funding needs, working capital impact).

Understand how FX and funding terms affect landed cost and procurement decisions.

4) Forecast, Market Intelligence & Risk Awareness (Training + Exposure)

This is where you evolve from operator to decision-ready leader.

Track key drivers: pricing windows, premiums, freight signals, FX movements, inventory signals.

Support short-term forecasting (24 weeks) for import schedule, stock balance, and funding needs.

Learn practical risk management: when and how to escalate FX exposure, timing risk, and cost spikes.

5) Hedging Mindset (Optional Track We will train)

You will be exposed to the logic of risk hedging (FX and price exposure) and how it ties into:

landed cost stability,

margin protection,

cash planning.

DDS will train you on hedging thinking even if you have not executed hedging beforewhat matters is your ability to learn and apply discipline.

What we expect (standards)

OTIF 95%, cycle time within SLA (ETA discharge complete)

Landed cost variance controlled vs plan/benchmark

Strong audit trail: procurement evidence, decision logs, discrepancy control

High ownership: detect risks early, escalate fast, close issues hard

Who should apply (must-have skills)

Strong Excel/Sheets: scheduling, landed cost build-up, variance analysis, pivots.

Business English for trade terms and shipping docs (Incoterms, basic LC concepts).

Structured communication: 13 page reporting with numbers + actions.

Calm under pressure, disciplined, and accountable end-to-end.

Experience

High-potential 03 years welcome (case tests required)

Ideal: 36 years in shipping/logistics/procurement/import ops/customs/terminal operations

Training & growth at DDS (clear progression)

03 months: Build the operating system

Master schedule, docs control, SLA discipline, incident response

Run 1 cargo end-to-end with guidance

39 months: Become the execution leader

Own cycles independently; reduce leakage; lead cross-functional governance

918 months: Upgrade to finance + market capability

Build weekly decision packs with cost, risk, FX/funding view

Begin structured exposure to hedging mindset and forecasting

18+ months: Manager track
