Job Description

Job Purpose:

To support the implementation of IFRS17 by working with project teams to ensure accurate data, system configuration, and reporting readiness, while assisting in analysis and coordination across functions.

The main tasks and responsibilities include but not limit to:

1. IFRS17 Implementation

· Work closely with project workstreams to support IFRS17 implementation.

· Reviewing and testing data and reporting from source systems (policy administration system, expense, finance ledgers) data accuracy and completeness for accounting and reporting purposes.

· Understand business requirements and support system configuration, validation, and development of test scenarios for UAT.

· Develop and maintain IFRS9 and IFRS16 reporting files/tools to support alignment and successful go-live alongside IFRS17 implementation.

 

2. Data Reconciliation & System Validation

· Perform data mapping and reconciliation between source systems and reporting outputs accuracy and timeliness.

· Identify and resolve issues in collaboration with stakeholders and vendors.

· Enhance processes and controls; utilize tools (e.g., Python, Macros, Power Query) to support validation and control activities.

 

3. Stakeholder & Project Coordination

· Coordinate with Accounting, Actuarial, and IT teams to support project delivery.

· Participate in IFRS17 assessment and support gap analysis.

· Assist in process documentation, development of IFRS17 materials, accounting rules development, and reporting support.

 

4. Investment Operations (ILP Products)

· Support the preparation for ILP launch by assisting in fund accounting activities, including NAV calculation, unit pricing, and investment transaction recording.

· Assist in reconciliation, cash flow monitoring, and reporting to ensure accurate valuation and smooth fund operations in line with regulatory requirements.

 

5. Other Duties

· Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Qualifications and Experiences

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit or related field.

· Minimum 4–6 years of experience in accounting, preferably in life insurance or financial services.

· Experience in IFRS or system implementation is an advantage.

 

2. Competencies and specialized knowledge

· Good knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work with stakeholders across functions

· Good communication skills in English and Vietnamese.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Python, Macros, Power Query) is an advantage.

· Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to meet deadlines.
