A Brief Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic IAM Engineer IV to join our IAM team. This role is pivotal in leading the design engineering of MiTek's secure authentication and authorization services. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to the design process for our company's IAM solutions while serving as a thought leader in the Identity & Access Management space. They will also focus on optimizing the performance, stability, and availability of our IAM infrastructure while serving as a top-tier escalation point for all other IAM engineers.
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to ensure that relevant privileged access controls are adequately enforced across platforms and applications
- Plan integrations with authentication services enabled by Ping Identity or Entra ID solutions.
- Maintain expert knowledge of industry standards and best practices surrounding IAM technologies and apply them to daily operations.
- Evangelize a security by design approach within IAM processes, promoting a secure culture across the organization.
- Serve as the subject matter expert while working with cross-functional teams to identify potential IAM challenges and implement innovative solutions.
- Actively participate in local IAM and cybersecurity working groups to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies.
- Serve as the top-tier escalation point for IAM solutions, including Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Ping Identity
- Accountable for DR exercises, and designing solutions and processes to eliminate or reduce off hours support calls
Qualifications
- Bachelors Computer and Information Science required
- Masters Computer and Information Science preferred
- 6+ Years Working with IAM platforms like Ping Identity and Microsoft Entra ID to lead design processes. required
- 6+ Years Experience in IAM technologies and industry standards (i.e. SAML, OAuth, SCIM). required
- 6+ Years Guiding cross-functional teams and IAM engineers in problem-solving and solution implementation. preferred
- 6+ Years Active involvement in IAM and cybersecurity communities to influence best practices. preferred
- 6+ Years Optimizing IAM infrastructure performance, stability, and availability. required
- Equivalent combination of experience and education which clearly indicates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute on a year for year basis
- Able to use Microsoft Office Applications
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate preferred
- Certified Professional PingOne preferred
Soft Skills
- Leads requirements analysis, design, and implementation of identity management software and policies across a number of task orders and applications.
- Ensure that the organization's IAM infrastructure is protected by enabling the appropriate security controls and identifying security gaps that may exist

- 5% Minimal travel is expected
- Proficient in English
