About Us
The goal of Damen Song Cam is to develop, design and construct a portfolio of tugboats, and high-speed crafts in the most effective and efficient manner. Primarily based on standardized & smart-customized designs. The role
Commissioning hydraulic systems for towing winches and specific deck equipment on board of ships to ensure that they meet the required specifications when supplied to the client.
Key accountabilities
As a Hydraulic Engineer, Your Tasks Are The Following
- Hydraulics commissioning
- Inspection of correct installation of hydraulic piping systems and components following system diagrams;
- Set up and operate pressure devices such as valves, pumps, etc., in a hydraulic system;
- Analyze the performance of hydraulic system on board;
- Participate during sea trials for final adjustments of hydraulic system operating the towing winch and other deck equipment.
- Commissioning reporting
- Ensure a timely and correct completion of the reports for adjustments in hydraulic system and present to Class/Client where applicable.
- Production supporting
- Where needed, support other workshops such as Piping or QC in area of hydraulic piping installation or flushing of the systems.
- Maintenance of stock vessel
- Follow maintenance plan of stock vessels in area of Winch/Hydraulics;
- Solve issues may arise on board & report to the leader when necessary.
- Safety rules
- Follow the company working regulations (including quality, safety, and environment rules) when working with high pressure hydraulic systems.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you bring:
- Education
- University background, majoring in Technical;
- Understanding about piping systems, hydraulic hoses and tubing applications
English: good communication skill.
- Experience
- Experienced in vessel commissioning or vessel hydraulic systems;
- Sailing experience or operating deck equipment on board of ships.
