Role: HTML5 Game Developer (Casual Games)
We're looking for a creative and highly efficient HTML5 Game Developer to build engaging, lightweight casual games for our online gaming portal. You will be responsible for developing fast-loading, mobile-friendly games such as car games, card games, shooting games, and other hyper-casual experiences that appeal to a broad audience.
This role is ideal for someone who can combine solid programming fundamentals with modern tools, including AI-assisted development workflows, to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deliver high-quality games.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop casual HTML5 games (e.g., racing, cards, arcade, shooting, puzzle)
- Implement smooth and responsive gameplay mechanics using JavaScript and relevant frameworks (such as Phaser, Three.js, or similar)
- Optimize games for performance, fast load times, and cross-device compatibility (mobile, tablet, desktop)
- Collaborate with designers and product teams to ensure an engaging user experience and game feel
- Rapidly prototype and iterate on game ideas using AI tools (such as code assistants and asset generation tools)
- Debug, test, and continuously improve game performance and stability
- Integrate sound, animations, and visual effects to enhance player engagement
- Stay updated with trends in casual and hyper-casual gaming
Requirements
- Strong experience in HTML5 game development using JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with game frameworks (Phaser, Babylon.js, Three.js, or similar)
- Solid understanding of game mechanics, physics, and gameplay programming
- Good grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
- Experience building casual or hyper-casual games (portfolio required)
- Familiarity with performance optimization for web-based games
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in a remote team environment
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Nice to Have
- Experience using AI tools to accelerate development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, asset generators)
- Basic understanding of game design principles such as retention and engagement loops
- Experience with ad integration or analytics in web games
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
